Dr. Hinduja has further pursued an international fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Surgery (focusing on Minimally invasive cardiac surgery and Heart transplant) at Ottawa, Canada under Prof. Marc Ruel who is a pioneer of minimally invasive cardiac surgery in the world. He is the Chief editor for Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeons of India (SMICTSI) and reviewer of many other national and international journals. Beating Heart Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
(Off Pump CABG)
When you have multiple blocked coronary
arteries, a heart bypass surgery can improve the blood flow through arteries.
Your cardiac surgeon will use blood vessel grafts to re-establish the blood
flow to your heart muscles. In the operation, the surgeon will attach these
grafts above and below the blocks. It creates a new network for blood flow.

Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery
In this surgery, you will have only two or three small incisions in your chest. The surgeon will insert a camera through one of the holes without dividing any bone on the chest. It will then beam images of the heart to a monitor. You will recover faster as the incisions are small. The chances of complications like bleeding and wound infections are also less.
Valve Repair and Replacement Surgery
During a valve replacement surgery, you will have general anesthesia to put you to sleep. Once you are asleep, your surgeon will make an incision across your chest. The next step is to divide the midline breastbone surgically to expose the heart. The surgeon will then shift your blood circulation to the heart-lung machine during the surgery. It enables the surgeon to operate on a still heart. The surgeon will then remove the diseased heart valve. The next step is to attach the artificial valve in its place with the help of sutures.
Aortic Aneurysm and Dissection Repair
An aneurysm is a blood-filled bulge in the walls of an artery. Arteries supply blood from the heart to other parts of your body. When the blood flows through the arteries, it exerts pressure on its walls. The walls of your arteries are elastic, which helps it to absorb this pressure. Due to various reasons, your artery walls can become weak in certain areas. When the blood flows, the pressure is more on these weak areas. These areas balloon out slowly to form an aneurysm.
