About Dr Manish Hinduja
Dr. Manish Hinduja is Senior Consultant,
Cardio-thoracic and Vascular surgeon presently associated with Kokila Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. He is one
of the few cardiac surgeons in India with special training (fellowship) in
minimally invasive cardiac surgery from Canada. He has special interest in
total arterial beating heart bypass surgery (which has better long-term results
compared to conventional bypass surgery) and complex cardiac and aortic surgeries.
He is also one of the few surgeons in
India, who perform most of the heart valve surgeries via minimally invasive
approach.
Dr Manish Hinduja has done his post-graduation (M.S.
Surgery and M.Ch. CTVS) from the prestigious national institute; PGIMER,
Chandigarh and then worked as Associate Professor at India’s most recognized and
highest volume government cardiac care centre- U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology
and Research for 5 years. He has also pursued a fellowship in minimally
invasive cardiac surgery at University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa,
Canada under Prof Marc Ruel and Prof Juan Grau. He was earlier associated with
Wockhardt hospitals, Mumbai and Mira Road as Chief Cardiac Surgeon. He has a
wide experience of over 11 years with more than 7,000 successful heart
surgeries.
His expertise includes beating heart
total arterial bypass surgeries, redo cardiac surgeries, cardiac
transplantation, congenital heart disease surgeries, valve and aortic
surgeries. He is among the few surgeons in Maharashtra with huge number of minimally
invasive cardiac surgeries to their name. His clinical skill and research
acumen have earned him many scientific accomplishments at various conferences
and publications in various national and international journals. He is a strong
believer of patient education and considers the family as a part of the
treating team. This manifests in his well-informed patients.
